Pixel plus clutter estimation region

You can select a single target pixel at the cursor position and four clutter-estimation regions at the corners of an overall square region that is centered on, but the target pixel and the sidelobe pixels are excluded.

To select a pixel plus clutter estimation region target

  1. In the SAR Polarimetry Target Analysis window, under TargetSelection Mode, click Pixel plus clutter estimation region.
  2. In the Overall size list, select a number.

    The overall size is measured in pixels. The value must be an odd integer, because the selection includes the pixel under the cursor location. The overall size must be 3 pixels or greater.

  3. In the Gap size list, select a number.

    Gap size is measured in pixels, and the selected value depends on the value of Overall size. The value must be an odd integer, because the selection includes the pixel under the cursor location. The gap size must be at least 2 pixels smaller than the overall size.

  4. In the Target Selection window, click the target pixel.

    The following is an example of the information displayed in the Results box under Numerical Output in the SAR Polarimetry Target Analysis window:
