Editing the digital elevation model

A digital elevation model (DEM) can contain pixels with failed or incorrect values. By editing the DEM, you can smooth out the irregularities and create a more suitable DEM. For example, sometimes areas, such as lakes, contain misleading elevation values. Setting a constant value for these areas will improve the appearance of your model.

If necessary, you can modify the DEM in Focus. For more information about modifying a DEM, see Editing digital elevation models.
