Selection

You can set up the default condition of selected polygons and how the polygons are displayed.

To set up selection

  1. In the navigation pane of the Options window, click Selection.
  2. In the content pane, under Selection, do the following, as applicable:
    • To select a polygon by clicking inside it (even when the polygon is not a closed shape), select the Consider interior of polygon check box.
    • To limit the selection of polygons to only those that are fully inside the selection area, select the Select only if fully contained check box.

      Any polygon that touches or is partially inside the selection area will not be included in the selection.

    • To have a selected map layer "flash" on selection, select the Flash selected images check box.

      That is, when you select a layer, it will briefly appear highlighted in blue.
