Adding a prefix, a suffix, or a time stamp to all output file names

  1. Click the cell to the left of the File column name.
  2. Right-click the File column heading.
  3. Choose Add Prefix/Suffix. The Add Prefix/Suffix - File window opens.
  4. In the Add Prefix/Suffix - File window, do any of the following:
    • In the Prefix section, enable the check box for Text, and type a prefix in the box.
    • Enable the check box for Time Stamp to apply a time stamp. The file name in the Batch Parameter Sets table displays with a timestamp place holder (<ts>). The actual time stamp is added to the file name when the model is executed. The time stamp format is YYYYMMDDHrMinSec.
    • In the Suffix section, enable the check box for Text, and type a suffix in the box.
    • Enable the check box for Time Stamp to apply a time stamp. The file name in the Batch Parameter Sets table displays with a timestamp place holder (<ts>). The actual time stamp is added to the file name when the model is executed. The time stamp format is YYYYMMDDHrMinSec.
  5. Click OK.

Note: The time stamp section of the file name does not display on the Input Params 1 tab.

Note: If you add a time stamp to the name of an output file, and then execute the model in single execution mode, the time stamp is not added to the output file name.
