Defining the preview region

To preview the full-resolution orthorectified images, you define a subset of the full digital elevation model (DEM) to display.

Note: The DEM must have one or more associated raw images to preview it in the Full Res. Ortho Preview window, the Live Ortho Preview window, or both.

To define the preview region of the full-resolution ortho

  1. In the DEM Editing window, on the toolbar, click Define Preview Region.
  2. In the Focus viewer, draw a rectangular subset to define the area of the current view that you want to preview at full resolution.

If the DEM does not have any associated raw images, a message appears, prompting you to select images to associate. To select images, click Yes, and then see Managing images to orthorectify.

The Full Res. Ortho Preview window appears, displaying the specified subset of the image using the full-resolution ortho images. The display shows overlapping left and right ortho images. If any editing polygons intersect the preview, these also are displayed.

For more information, see Using the Full Res. Ortho Preview window.
