Opening and deleting a chart

The settings for the charts that you create while the project is open are kept in memory as long as the project remains open, even if you close the Chart viewer. By default the charts are listed in the Chart Manager in the order that they were created.

When you save the project, only the settings for each chart are saved in the project file (.gpr), not the data itself. The chart only contains a reference to the data. If you make changes to the layer's attributes, the chart will reflect the changes in the data the next time you open it, but the design of the chart will remain unchanged. If you close the project without saving it, the charts in memory are deleted along with any other changes in the project file.

To display an existing chart:
1. In Attribute Manager, on the Tools menu, point to Charts, and then click Manage.
2. Click the chart that you want to see.
3. Click View.
To sort the list in ascending or descending order, click any of the table headings in the Chart Manager.
To delete a chart:
1. In Attribute Manager, on the Tools menu, point to Charts, and then click Manage.
2. Click the chart that you want to delete.
3. Click Delete.
