Reordering layers

On the Maps tab, the maps, areas, layers, channels, and segments that make up the imagery in the view pane are displayed.

You can change the order of the items by dragging it, either up or down, to the position you want.

Tip: The priority of a layer can cause one layer to mask another in the view pane. If you cannot see a layer that is set to be visible, check the order of the layer to see if a layer is above the one you want, thus preventing you from seeing it.

To change the priority of a layer

  1. On the Maps tab, drag a layer to its new position.

You can drag up or down. Notice that a black line appears while you drag the item to help guide you.

  2. Repeat, if necessary, to set up the remaining layers in the order you want.
Tip: You can use the same method to move an entire area, including its associated components. With some items, you can hold down the Ctrl key to select more than one.
