Creating a named region from coordinates

You can define a named region from coordinates you specify. By default, the advanced features show raster coordinates for the image data open in the view pane. You can describe the bounds of your named region in Raster, Geocoded, Geographic, or MGRS units.

  1. In the Named Regions window, click Advanced.

    The window refreshes to display the advanced options for creating a named region.

  2. In the Bounds list, select the reference system you want.

    You can select from the following:

    • Raster
    • Geocoded
    • Geographic
    • MGRS
  3. Type the coordinates of your named region in the appropriate boxes according to the reference system you selected.
  4. Click Add.

    A new entry appears under the map or area you selected.

  5. Type a name in the Named Region 1 box.
