Opening a properties dialog box from the Files tab

On the Files tab, you can open a properties dialog box for data files saved to disk.

To open a properties dialog box

  1. In the control pane, on the Files tab, select the file or element for which you want to view the properties.
  2. Do either of the following:
    • On the View menu, click Properties.
    • Right-click the map, area, or layer, and then click Properties.

    A properties dialog box appears specific to the item you selected. For example, with an RGB layer selected, the RGB Layer Properties dialog box appears.
