Deleting raster overviews

You can delete the raster overviews associated with a layer, or delete all overviews associated with an image file.

To delete raster overviews

  1. In the Overview Manager window, under General Information, do one or more of the following, as applicable:

    • In the File box, type or select the full path and file name of the file for which you want to delete the overviews, or click Browse to open a folder containing the file you want.

      That is, if any items have been selected previously for this box, each displays in the list.

    • In the Layer box, type or select the layer for which you want to delete the overviews, or select All

      If one or more overviews exist for the the selected file or layer, the Delete Overviews check box is available.

  2. Select the Delete Overviews check box, and then click Run.

The raster overviews you specified are removed from the file.
