The KRON projection is the same as the KROV projection, except the sign of the KRON coordinates are negative. That is for a positive KROV easting and northing, the equivalent KRON coordinate pair is:

• (KROV easting)
• (KROV northing)

KRON was derived to fix a problem of exchange of KROV data with other non-PCI software (e.g. CAD software). KROV has an axis orientation where Easting increases to the left and Northing increases to the bottom. KRON works better in other software because Easting increases (is less negative) from left to right and Northing increases (is less negative) from bottom to top.
