Batch Mode Yes
Sections Description Ports Port Details Parameters Parameter Details Details

Description

Performs either parallelepiped or maximum likelihood single-class classification on image data, for up to 254 classes. The output is a theme map directed database image layer of the highest order of probability.

Ports

In/Out Name Caption Type Min. - Max. Layers Connection
In Input Layers to be Classified SIG 1 - 256 Mandatory
In Mask Area Mask Bitmap 0 - 1 Optional
Out Output Classified Layer Raster 0 - 1 Optional

Port details

Input: Layers to be Classified

Contains the input layer(s) consisting of the class signatures (type 121) to be used in the classification.

Mask: Area Mask

Contains the input bitmap layer that indicates the area under which the input layers should be processed. If no bitmap is provided the entire layer is processed.

Output: Classified Layer

Contains the output layer that will receive the classified data.

Parameters

Name Caption Type Data Range Default Optional
MLCStrategy Classifier Text Parallelepiped, Ties, Full, MinimumDistance Parallelepiped No
NullClass Null Class Text YES, NO YES No
Report Report Mode Text LOG, SIGCLAS.RPT, DISK, OFF, <user-specified filename> LOG No

Parameter details

MLCStrategy: Classifier

Valid Values: Parallelepiped, Ties, Full, MinimumDistance Default value: Parallelepiped

Specifies the type of classifier. There are four options:

NullClass: Null Class

Valid Values: YES, NO Default value: YES

Specifies whether pixels can be assigned to the NULL (value 0) class. This parameter is only used during a full maximum likelihood classification (that is, when MLCStrategy = ''Full'').

Report: Report Mode

Valid Values: LOG, SIGCLAS.RPT, DISK, OFF, <user-specified filename> Default value: LOG

Specifies the file to which the generated report will be appended. In addition to the options available from the pull-down menu, the user can enter a filename (max. 64 characters).

Details

A bitmap specifies the area within the ''Input'' layer which will be processed. Only this area will be filtered and the rest of the image will be unchanged. If no bitmap is connected, the entire database is processed.
