Description

This module imports data layers to be used for image manipulation. The user selects the data layers from an input file (also provided by the user).

Any file formats supported by GDB will be recognized and properly imported by the Import module. For a complete listing of supported file formats, please see the GDB help.

Contains the output layer(s) that will receive the imported data.

Parameter details

Filename: Filename

Valid Values: <filename, max. 64 characters> Default value: <none>

Specifies the name of the input file, from which the layer(s) will be selected. To set the filename, either enter it directly into the field provided, or simply press the "Select..." button to bring up the "Select File" window.

If the selected file does not exist, a warning message "Failure to open file" will appear.

Upon entering a valid file name, a list of available data types will appear in the "Select Data Layers for Import" parameter section.

LayerSelection: Select Data Layers for Import - Optional

Valid Values: <see below> Default value: <none>

Specifies the list of data layer(s) to be imported.

Upon entering a valid file name via the Filename parameter, a list of available data types will appear in this parameter.

The user can then select individual layers, or all the listed layers from the first option list and ''Add'' them to the second list. Similarly, the unwanted layers in the second option list can be taken away by pressing the ''Remove'' button.

All layers listed in the second option list will be used for image manipulation.

After all the necessary information has been entered correctly, click on the "Accept" to close this window or "Cancel" to discard all the changes.

Details

When this module is first dropped into the canvas area from the module librarian window, all the output ports are hidden. It is only when the parameters are set that the port(s) will appear.
