Reads elevations from a digital elevation layer and compares the elevations with elevation values from a given vector layer. The root mean square error is generated in a report.

BackElevation: Background Elevation Value - Optional
Valid Values: -32767.0 <= x <= 65536.0 Default value: <none>
Specifies the background elevation value which will be ignored. This value will not be compared with the elevation values in the database layer, permitting the omission of specific regions when computing the root mean square error.
Valid Values: ATTRIBUTE, GROUP, ZCOORD, <string, max. 64 characters> Default value: ATTRIBUTE
Specifies the attribute field or the z-coordinate from which elevation values should be extracted if using a vector layer.
Valid Values: <user-specified filename> Default value: LOG
Specifies the file to which the generated report should be appended. In addition to the options available from the pull-down menu, the user can enter a filename (max. 64 characters).
This module generates a RMS error report between the extracted DEM from satellite images or airphotos and the input elevations from a vector layer with an attribute or the z-coordinate as the elevation.
The database layer must be a vector layer (type 116). Either an attribute field or the z-coordinate can be used as the source of the elevation values. The georeferencing of the file and the georeferencing of the database layer must be compatible to make the RMS computation.
BackElevation specifies the background elevation value in the digital elevation layer in which the elevation will not be compared with the values in the database layer. This permits the omission of regions when computing the RMS error.
The output of the RMS report can either be directed to the terminal or a text file using the Report parameter.
