Assessing image-to-ground accuracy

You can assess the accuracy of the sensor model or a computed digital elevation model (DEM). The relationship between image and ground is established by running a bundle adjustment. In the Image-to-Ground Computation window, you can collect accuracy-control points on stereo-image pairs. OrthoEngine uses the accuracy-control points with the math-model solution to determine the ground coordinates (easting, northing, and elevation). After you collect a statistically significant number of accuracy control points, you can use them to verify the model accuracy.
