The following table describes the options available for normalization.
| Normalization | Description |
|---|---|
| None | No changes are made to the image. |
| Hot Spot | Remove hot spots from the image. |
| Adaptive Filter | Balance the brightness and contrast by using a moving window. In the Adaptive Filter Size (% image) box, type the size of the filter window as a percentage of the size of the entire image. The adaptive filter size is a global setting, so one size applies to all the images with Adaptive Filter selected for Normalization.
Note: Because of the intensive processing required, Adaptive Filter is not dynamic. Also, any color-balancing effects on the normalized image will be displayed only when the image has been added to the output mosaic.
