On the Display tab, you can control the opacity of the layer and the color to use in the display.
Opacity
Select this check box to select an opacity for the layer.
Percent
Drag the slider to the opacity you want or, alternatively, type a percentage value in the box to the right.
Notice that as you drag the slider a tooltip appears, indicating the precise value to set.
Color
Click to select a color to use to display the layer.
To select from additional colors, click More.
