Selecting display options

When you print a map, it is identical to the map on your computer screen by default. There may be times when you do not want your printed work to look exactly like what is on your screen. This is the default of a feature called WYSIWYG: what you see is what you get.

In the Display Options window, you can turn off the default WYSIWYG feature. The benefits of turning off this feature are that it can enhance software performance and reduce clutter in the view pane.

The Display Options window also provides WYSIWYG options for width and fill, pattern, text, and zoom scaling.

To open the Display Options window
  • On the View menu, click Display Options.

    The Display Options window appears.

About the display options
