Special types

In addition to the 5 basic types, EASI provides three special types of variables. These are:

• string - arbitrarily long string of characters
• mstring - multi-line string
• mvar - Modeling intermediate array

Variables of these special types are declared in the same manner as the basic types using the LOCAL or GLOBAL statements. Note however that it is not legal to declare arrays of type STRING, MSTRING, or MVAR, nor to declare pointers to these variables.
