The execution of tasks, intrinsic, scripts and user functions can cause an error to occur, as can even the execution of a simple statement. Every EASI error is identified by a numeric error code and corresponding textual error message.
If an error occurs in EASI, it normally causes execution to halt and control to return to the main EASI prompt. However, it is possible to trap errors and continue execution of an EASI script using the ONERROR statement suffix and the TRYONERROR-ENDONERROR construct. In addition, intrinsic functions exist for examining the last error-code, and the corresponding error message.
