In addition to being a command environment for interactively executing tasks, EASI is also a full-featured interpreted programming language. EASI supports control-structures such is FOR, WHILE, and IF statements, the definition of variables and structures, the definition of functions taking any number of arguments and providing a return value, and a powerful set of built-in intrinsic functions. EASI can be used to develop specialized and powerful applications.
