Creating an Erdas file (.lan/.gis)

In the Erdas File Creation window, you create an 8-bit or 16-bit Erdas .lan or .gis file with the file name, size, and number of channels you want.

When you create a .lan file, select only one channel.

Note: You cannot create a 4-bit Erdas file. Files are created only in Erdas 7.4 format.
