Selecting the file, layer, and field

In the Select Layer and Field window, you select the file that contains the shapes you want, and then select the relevant layer and field.

To select the file, layer, and field

  1. In the File box, type the path and file name of the file you want or, to select a file, click Browse.
  2. After you enter the file name, in the Layer list, select the layer that contains the shape or shapes you want.
  3. In the Field list, select the field (or attribute) you want.
