You can add one or more vertices, as necessary. Each inserted vertex is connected to the two closest existing vertices.

To add a vertex
- On the Vector Editing toolbar, click Find, and then click a shape.
- Click Add Vertices.

In the view pane, click where you want to add the vertex.
To add the vertex to an existing line or polygon, hold down the Ctrl and Alt keys, and then click close to the line to which you want to add the vertex. The new vertex will snap to the line or polygon and the shape of the line or polygon will be retained.
To continue a line, click the start or end vertex of the line, and then click a series of vertices.
