Spectral Library (SPL) format can be read by the GDB library. SPL format is used for U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Spectroscopy Lab.
SPL records are in a fixed format at 1536 bytes each. Record-number counting starts at zero. Binary data is real numbers and big-endian integers in IEEE1 format. Each record can contain a variety of information relative to the schema.
