The ELAS file format is a raster file format used with some scanners. One such scanner is DAEDALUS 1268 is manufactured by DAEDALUS ENTERPRISES INCORPORATED (Annarbor - Michigan USA).
"E.L.A.S. : Earth Resources Laboratory Applications Software is a Geobased Information System it is designed for analyzing and processing digital imagery data, such as those collected by multispectral scanners or digitized from maps."
GDB supports the image variants which have 8 bits per pixel.
Export of ELAS files is not supported.
