Input Scenes
The path and name of a folder containing multispectral scenes.
Output Folder
The path and name of the folder to which to write the output files.
Overwrite Results
Select this check box to overwrite the existing output files, if any exist. If this check box is left clear, and an output file exists in the relevant folder, the status of the job displays a message informing you of the existence and name of the output file. The message is also written to the event log of the job.
Send Email
If necessary, you can set up CATALYST Enterprise to send an email notification on job start and job completion.
With this check box selected, an email message is sent to each address specified in the Email Addresses box after the job starts and on completion.
You can specify one or more addresses, and each must be separated by a comma or a semi-colon. The email address of the user currently logged in displays by default.
Template File
The path and name of a previously segmented file to use as a template for segmentation and classification.
A template file can be created using Object Analyst in CATALYST Professional Focus.
Training Model File
The path and name of a training model file to use during classification.
A training model file can be created using Object Analyst in CATALYST Professional Focus.
Segmentation Scale
The scale parameter of the multiresolution segmentation algorithm.
Scale is a unitless parameter that controls the average object size during the segmentation process. A small scale results in a greater number of objects at the expense of the generalization. A large scale forces the segmentation to create fewer objects, but various types of land cover, for example, might be merged together.
Accepted values: 5 to 1000
Segmentation Shape
The shape parameter of the multiresolution segmentation algorithm.
A low shape value, such as 0.1, places a high emphasis on color; that is, pixel intensity, which is typically the most important aspect of creating meaningful objects.
Accepted values: 0.1 to 0.9
Segmentation Compactness
The compactness parameter of the multiresolution segmentation algorithm.
A high compactness weighting, such as 0.9, produces more compact object boundaries, such as with crop fields or buildings.
Accepted values: 0.1 to 0.9
Vegetation Indices Map
To automatically determine the blue, green, red, and near-infrared channels, select Automatic.
To manually specify which channels are blue, green, red and near-infrared, select Custom, then enter the appropriate values in Channel Map.
Channel Map
Specify which channels are blue, green, red, and near-infrared using a comma-delimited list.
For example:
If your image contains channels in the order blue, green, red, nir, then enter 2,1,3,4.
If your image contains channels in the order red, nir, then enter 0,0,1,2.

Preprocessing requirements
Before running this module, the following requirements must be met to ensure the job processes successfully and produces accurate results:
Template File: A segmented template file must be created using Object Analyst in CATALYST Professional Focus.
Training Model File: A training model file must be created using Object Analyst in CATALYST Professional Focus.
Module details
The Object Analyst Segmentation and Classification module automatically segments and classifies multispectral imagery using a previously created segmented template file and training model file.
Job results
The results produced by the Object Analyst Segmentation and Classification module is one segmented and classified pix file for each input file.
