Input Folder
The path and name of the folder containing valid GDB-supported images; typically, this is the output folder of the Data Ingest module.
Output Folder
The path and name of the folder to which to write the output files.
Generate Thumbnail Files
If checked, a geocoded linked-pix thumbnail file will be generated for each scene, if the original thumbnail shipped with the product can be found.
Overwrite Results
Select this check box to overwrite the existing output files, if any exist. If this check box is left clear, and an output file exists in the relevant folder, the status of the job displays a message informing you of the existence and name of the output file. The message is also written to the event log of the job.

Preprocessing requirements
Before running this module, the following requirements must be met to ensure the job processes successfully and produces accurate results:
The module creates a footprint index file, with one shape for each input scene. Each shape will have all file-level metadata as attributes, and if selected, a geocoded linked-pix file will be created, linking to the thumbnail originally distributed with the product if possible.
Job results
On successful completion of the Data Exploration module, the "Output Folder" is populated with a footprint file called Image_Footprints.pix, and optionally, if Generate Thumbnail Files is selected, a series of pix files linked to thumbnails for all scene thumbnails that were found.
