CATALYST Enterprise features Mosaic Tool, a software program you can use to perform quality assurance (QA) on your mosaic before generating the final mosaic image to ensure that your output is of the best quality. In some cases, your mosaic data sets and preview may look perfect, with the exception of one or two images. In such cases, it may be easier to edit the exception images in Mosaic Tool rather than regenerate the entire mosaic.
To preview and edit a mosaic, you can open the output .mos file created by the Mosaic Preparation module in Mosaic Tool, and then modify the cutlines, color balancing, scene order, and normalization, as necessary.
Before using Mosaic Tool, you must have produced a mosaic project (.mos) and related auxiliary files by running the Mosaic Preparation module on your imagery.
For more information about Mosaic Tool, see the Mosaic Tool Help in CATALYST Professional.
After you complete the necessary modifications to the mosaic, save the mosaic project, and then use it as input for the Mosaic Generation module.
