General job details

The following properties are common to all CATALYST Enterprise modules. To expand or collapse a section, click the + or - sign beside the section title.

Info (information properties)
  • User: Shows the name of the user submitting the job.
  • Priority: Specifies the processing priority for the job being submitted. In the Priority box, enter a job priority number corresponding to the current execution of the module. The job priority is a numerical value used to assign an arbitrary "rank" to the job. To assign a top priority to the current job, set the priority rank to a numerical value higher than any one currently in the system.
  • Comment: Optionally type a custom description for the job being submitted. This helps to identify clearly the nature of job in the User Comment column of the Jobs table on the CATALYST Enterprise Home page. If no comment is specified, a default job description is used.
Start (job-start properties)
  • On Server: Specifies the server on which to run the job. From the On Server list, select the processing server to run the submitted job, or select the default value of <auto>, which allows for automatic load balancing.
  • When: Defines when to start the job.

    Available options are:
    • As soon as possible: the job will be processed according to the priority number and system availability; this is the default setting.
    • Later: when you select this option, you must specify values for Start Date and Start Time to define when to start the job.
Workflow
  • Predefined configurations: Optionally specifies a file containing a set of predefined parameters for the module.
