Data product name and description

Satellite ZY1E (ZY-1 02D) was launched on September 12, 2019. it has two cameras as includes Visible Near Infrared(VNIR), hyperspectral cameras. PCI Only supports VNIR data now. The VNIR camera has one Panchromatic and eight multispectral bands, and it has a large view field, with 115 km swath width. It provides great supports in investigating land resources, emergent monitoring and supervising services.

Spectral bands:
Spectral range (nm)

Spatial resolution (m)*
(spectral resolution)

Maximum image dimensions
(Across track x along track, km)

Notes

B02 (Blue): 452 - 521

B04 (Red): 635 - 694
B05 (NIR): 776 - 895
B06 (Coastal Blue): 416 - 452
B07 (Yellow): 591 - 633
B08 (Red Edge): 708 - 752
B09 (NIR2): 871 - 1047
B01 (Panchromatic): 451 - 902

Panchromatic: 2.5 x 2.5
Multispectral: 10 x 10

Swath width:
  • 115 (at nadir)

* Resolution is always nadir position unless noted otherwise.

ZY1E image data is available at one processing level: LEVEL1B. All products are provided with an XML metadata file specific to each. Each data set is either in its own directory or several data sets in one directory.

You can open a ZY1E data set by selecting the *.xml file.

When opening a ZY1E data set, the files read by GDB are as described in the following table.

Processing level Horizontal accuracy (m) Description/notes
LEVEL1B N/A N/A

Distribution disk files

A ZY1E data set is organized in a specific folder structure on disk. GDB uses this folder structure and the file names to identify the data product type.

Warning: Data sets for this sensor are organized in a specific folder structure on disk. GDB uses this structure and the file names to identify the data product type. Do not alter the folder structure or any file names prior to data ingestion to ensure the image data and auxiliary information are imported correctly.

You can open a ZY1E data set by selecting the *.xml.

When opening a ZY1E data set, the files read by GDB are as described in the following table.

File name Format Required Contents/details
*.xml Extensible Markup Language Yes Key file name, contains data-set metadata
*.tiff GeoTIFF Yes Image data
*.rpb ASCII Yes Rational-function model
*.jpg Joint Photographic Experts Group Optional Thumbnail

Returned data for supported format

The data structure after it is opened by GDB is described in the following table.
