Senior Photogrammetrist

We are looking for a Senior Photogrammetrist to join our team, which has a world leading reputation for building sensor agnostic image processing technology. Your role as Senior Photogrammetrist is to apply photogrammetric principles to ensure rigorous support is added to CATALYST’s line of products. You will have a direct impact on the ability of our clients to generate high quality image products using our software and core technology. You will determine the most efficient means to read raw imagery from spaceborne, aerial and drone platforms in addition to available ephemeris information to reconstruct imaging and sensor geometry. Development and operational implementation of software integrated within our environment will permit our clients to derive accurate ortho imagery, digital elevation models and other derivative products.

  • Apply theoretical principles of photogrammetry to a variety of sensor data including
    spaceborne optical, aerial optical data (digital frame and push broom sensors), and
    optical Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)
  •  Create technical designs to address adding support for new sensors
  • Participate in evaluating customer and partner requirements to add new sensors
  • Develop rigorous and efficient methods to reconstruct imaging and sensor geometry
  • Implement new software algorithms that allows operational processing of new sensors
  • Assess existing systems and software to recommend / implement improvements
  • Interact with product owners and scientists to understand the application technology
    direction/changes, standards and best practices
  • Create and maintain documentation on best practices for developed algorithms
  •  Develop and / or maintain a suite of tests to ensure code stability and repeatability of
    results with new releases
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of
  • Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved
  • Participate in development planning and prioritization sessions
  • Assist in business development through technical support
  • 5+ years of experience applying photogrammetric principles to develop software
    algorithms that support processing of a variety of sensor data

  • Master’s level or above in a relevant discipline (Photogrammetry and /or Remote

  •  Knowledge of agile software development practices and ability to participate in
    development planning and prioritization sessions

  •  Understanding of the fundamentals of earth observation satellites and other collection
    platforms, including data processing and the use of software and production pipelines
    to convert raw image pixels into business consumable data

  • Project management skills and attention to detail for planning, execution, and reporting

  •  Must have technical skills:
    o Proven track record and experience applying Photogrammetric principles to
    resolve image and sensor geometry
    o Software Development experience
    o Quality assurance and verification know how

  • Nice to have technical skills:
    o Cloud deployment experience (AWS, Azure)
    o Experience dealing with clients
