Product Manager

Overview

We are looking for a Product Manager who will support the execution of CATALYST’s strategy to deliver our science to more end users via new and innovative methods. This role involves working with external customers and internal development teams to define, develop and execute the best possible product market fit for CATALYST products and services to attract and retain new customers across different industries.

CATALYST – Earth data, simplified. We make actionable earth observation intelligence available to decision makers that seek to ensure a sustainable and manageable planet.

SCOPE OF THE JOB
  • Product management experience including roadmap development, prioritization across multiple internal and external stakeholders, release planning and execution
  • Strong knowledge of agile software development practices and ability to participate in development planning and prioritization sessions
  • Excellent ability to conduct market research, monitor competitor activity, identify market and product gaps
  • Customer-centric mindset and experience translating customer requirements into priorities and clear direction for the engineering teams
  • Development of marketing and sales enablement materials.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Develop a compelling product offering, including business model, pricing, and service terms.
  • Support the Sales team as the primary evangelist for the product line.
  • An understanding of the fundamentals of earth observation satellites, including data processing and the use of software and production pipelines to convert raw image pixels into business consumable data
  • Development of marketing and sales enablement materials.
  • Experience with product/feature launches including release notes, webinars, training.
  • Experience working with development teams and advocating for the end user
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail for planning, execution, and reporting
REQUIREMENTS
  • Required Experience: 5+ years in product management, technical product management, or development team leadership.
  • Must have technical skills:
    • Strong communication skills
    • Good understanding of remote sensing science and its applicability to various use cases
    • Strong ability to understand business problems and articulate technical solutions
  • Nice to have technical skills:
    • Graphic design skills (including Adobe Creative Suite)
